PRP Injections in Bowral
Dr John PRP provides platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and PRP + hyaluronic acid (HA) injections in Bowral for people across the Southern Highlands, including Mittagong, Moss Vale, Berrima, Burradoo, Bundanoon, Exeter and Robertson. Consultations are held at The Bowral Doctor, 2 Gordon Road, Bowral.
PRP is prepared from a small sample of your own blood and injected into the affected joint or tendon. It aims to reduce inflammation, leading to pain reduction. For some patients it may help to avoid surgery. Results vary between individuals, and suitability is assessed at your consultation.

PRP therapy
PRP injections are used for tendon and joint conditions such as tennis elbow, rotator cuff tendinopathy, Achilles and patellar tendinopathy, and gluteal tendinopathy. Most patients have 2–3 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart.

- Recovery. Improvement is usually gradual over 4–8 weeks, alongside tailored rehabilitation. Results vary.
You do not usually need a referral. A referral letter and any X-ray, MRI or ultrasound reports are helpful if you have them.
