PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy
PRP therapy is a natural, non-surgical treatment that uses concentrated platelets from your own blood to accelerate healing in damaged joints, tendons, and ligaments. Ideal for knee osteoarthritis, meniscal tears, and chronic tendinopathies, PRP reduces pain, inflammation, and promotes long-term tissue repair—without steroids or surgery.
PRP is ideal for patients who:
✔ Want to Avoid surgery or want a non-pharmacological option
✔ Have mild-to-moderate joint degeneration (X-ray/MRI confirmed)
✔ Failed physical therapy or cortisone injections
✔ Seek long-term relief (vs. temporary fixes)
Step 1: Blood Draw
A small sample (10ml) is taken from your arm.
Step 2: Centrifuge Processing
Your blood is spun to concentrate platelets (5–10x higher than normal).
Step 3: Injection
PRP is injected into the injured area (e.g., knee, shoulder) using ultrasound guidance.

Unlike surgery, PRP is minimally invasive and harnesses your body’s natural healing process.
Does Medicare or insurance cover PRP?
